Building on the success of the previous event in 2010 we are going to have another great day of friendly fights in Cambridge challenging athletes from Anglia Ruskin Kickboxing Club, CARISMA and Cambridge University Kickboxing Society. We are looking for fighters of all levels, both male and female, to take part in this event. All fights will be matched by gender, weight and experience. All fights will be in 3 rounds of 1.5 or 2 minutes depending on experience, following light contact rules (optional full contact for selected fights).

invite all of your friends to this great event in Cambridge.

ARUKBC is paying for the drinks and if it goes well, we’ll move on to other night-spots later.

We’re hosting a ‘Meet & Greet’ event with Carisma Martial Arts on Tuesday 5th October at the Avery Pub 8:30pm.
This will be a chance to welcome beginners from both ARUKBC and Carisma, celebrate victories from the Bury-St.-Edmunds competition on Sunday and just generally have a good time.

Our coach Massimo has been invited to give a demonstration at The Martial Arts Show. Its a great show, where there’s free seminars, demonstrations and live action. There’s also plenty of martial arts gear available.

CARISMA is running a new beginners course, starting on the 18 May 2010 to run for 4 consecutive Tuesday and Thursday classes (e.g. 18, 20, 25, 27).
Carisma is a martial arts club run by our ARUKBC coach Massimo Gaetani. This will be an ideal way for students who want to practice martial arts, but can’t make our training sessions and/or are absolute beginners. Here you get to meet Massimo, Carisma members and other beginners from all walks of life. Its also ideal for ARUKBC members who have recently started.
If you would like to join (or you know somebody who would like to) please do it on the 18th of May.

Usually, there is a social event following the last training session of the course.

Just a reminder of the location for the upcoming Town vs Gown event as a few people have asked me recently where it actually is.
Town vs Gown will be found at Manor Community College and directions can be found here.
The event starts at 3pm, so if you are attending then please make sure you arrive promptly so you don’t miss anything!

Anglia Ruskin Kickboxing has been given exclusive invites to an organised event in celebration of the forthcoming Chinese New Year held at Revolutions Bar, Cambridge. Door entry is normally £5 BUT we have tickets available for ARUKBC members for just £2 and we have decided to include members from both this semester and last semester.
